The Blue Nile gorge and Debre libanos Monastery
Drive in the morning to the Portuguese Bridge, The Blue Nile
Gorge and The most important monastery of the medieval time-Debre
Libanos-Once it was a popular monastery in the Ethiopian History.

Day 3: - Bahir Dar
Full day in Bahir Dar,( Set at 1,830 m. above sea level ) an
attractive town with tree-lined avenues and the deep blue lake
in the background. Lake Tana is Ethiopia's largest lake and
is dotted with islands. In the morning depart by boat to visit
the Zege peninsula for monasteries of Ura Kidanemihret, and
the monastery of Kibran Gebriel to see mural paintings, crowns,
crosses etc. On the way back to Bahir Dar see place where the
Blue Nile River and Lake Tana join after lunch visit the local
market, the Woito village (where the local people make the Papyrus

4- Gondar
Drive to Gondar and visit the castle and the church of Debre
Berhan Selassie and the Bath of king Fasiledous and the Felasha

Day 5 - AXUM
Drive to Axum through the escarpments of the semien mountain
National park and the beautiful valley of Tekeze. Overnight

Day 6, Axum
Full day in Axum once one of the four great powers of the ancient
world. We will see the remarkable stelae or obelisks, the largest
single pieces of stone standing anywhere on the world. There
are also tombs and castles of former monarchs, the Axum Museum
and Mariamtsion Church, built on the site of Ethiopia's first
church. A chapel within the church compound is believed by Ethiopian
Orthodox Christians to house the Ark of the Covenant, or the
original tablets of Moses. Our tour starts with a visit to the
museum and the stelae. Then you ascend a hill to see the castle
of King Kalab, passing Mai Shum (the bath of the Queen of Sheba)
on the way. Coming back into town, you will see the tomb of
King Basen, visit the small museum inside the church grounds,
and end the day at the site known as 'Queen Sheba's Palace'
(although it is, in fact, the villa of an Axumite notable from
